What is the Postpartum Navigator?
I would like to say nursing inspired it all but after I had a 2020 baby and my postpartum period was spent in quarantine, it made me wonder how many moms feel like this everyday. By themselves, maybe not living by family or maybe not feeling family support. I felt lucky because I live very close to my family and even in quarantine we were all together.
Postpartum can be a lonely time no matter the support system. You now have something you have waited for and are excited to have buuuut now you have to care for it while healing and taking care of yourself. If you are the first person in your family to breastfeed, maybe you get push back. If you decided you only want to formula feed for your own mental health, maybe you get strange looks and judgmental advice.
While I am aware you can't service everyone, everyone is welcome. I will be having breastfeeding classes, bottle feeding classes, pumping classes, and a great doula will be teaching child birthing classes at the shop. If postpartum is staring to feel a bit like quarantine or you just would like to talk to or learn from mommies and birth workers before welcoming you little bundle, come and shop. I will be launching the website to sign up for the classes mentioned.
If you want to stay in the loop with the Postpartum Navigator follow me on FB, IG, and TikTok.
